As climate change intensifies, the architectural community must evolve to prioritize adaptive, sustainable, and passive design. This workshop bridges architectural theory with practical tools to teach how buildings can reduce dependence on mechanical systems by intelligently responding to environmental stimuli—sun, wind, rain, humidity, and heat.
Participants will explore bioclimatic zoning, thermal comfort modeling, daylighting strategies, natural ventilation, and passive heating and cooling systems using tools such as Climate Consultant, Ladybug, EnergyPlus, and regional case studies.
To train participants in the principles and practices of climate-responsive and passive architecture, enabling them to create buildings and environments that are energy-efficient, resilient, and context-sensitive.
PhD in Computational Mechanics from MIT with 15+ years of experience in Industrial AI. Former Lead Data Scientist at Tesla and current advisor to Fortune 500 manufacturing firms.
